Chairman of the Board

Rick Busby grew up on a farm outside of the small town of Hephzibah, Georgia, and graduated from Hephzibah High School in 1977. He attended Georgia Southern College and began working full-time for the family business in 1979, after spending years as a summer helper. Rick worked his way through the company from sales, service manager, warehouse, office, Vice President, and became President in 2004. Rick is married to his wife Tammy of 37 years and has two daughters and two grandchildren. Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He is also a published author and speaker.

President

Kristen began her career at Busby’s over 15 years ago as a summer intern before earning a Business Management degree from Georgia College & State University. She played a key role in upgrading company technology before joining Nexstar, where she coached HVAC and plumbing businesses across the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Now, Kristen has returned to Augusta as President and future owner of Busby’s Heating & AC, joined by her husband, Shane, and their dogs, Boone and Daisy.

Service Manager

Peter is from Omaha, Nebraska and has called Augusta (and Busby’s) home since 2019. He has over 10 years of collective HVAC experience doing commercial installation, sheet metal fabrication, and service. In his spare time he enjoys spending time reading, mountain biking and gardening.

Recruiting & Training Manager

Jeff graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. He has 20+ years of experience in customer service, recruiting, training and sales & marketing. Jeff and his wife Margie were married in 2002 and have 3 children: Nicholas, Jordan and Lucas. Jeff and his family attend Stevens Creek Church, they love to travel and cheerfully volunteer with many organizations in the area.

Warehouse Manager

Jack is from Augusta and graduated from Richmond Academy. He currently resides in Graniteville, SC, with his wife, Taylor, and three children. In his free time, Jack enjoys landscaping, photography, and spending time with his family.

Accounting Manager

Sydney was born in Okinawa, Japan and lived in various places before her family settled in South Georgia. She has an undergraduate degree in Business from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and graduated from Augusta University with a Masters of Business Administration in 2016. She joined the Busby’s Team that same year. Sydney was married to her husband Jonathan in 1998.  She enjoys attending her church on Sundays and in her spare time enjoys reading.

CSR & Dispatch Leader
Tina is originally from Minnesota and has lived in 6 other states, calling Georgia her home since 2024. She has over 13 years of experience in the HVAC industry handing internal and external clients. Customer service is her passion! Tina has 2 adult children Jacob and Chloe, as well as 2 Cane Corso dogs. In her free time, she loves to attend sporting events, travel, be with friends and take in the sights of the south.
